Digital by Design Team Meeting

Last semester in EDIT 6190, I sat in on two EDIT 6210 team meetings late in the course of the team's project. This semester, I decided to visit an earlier meeting.

In this meeting, the Digital by Design team met with their client, Dr. Gwynn Powell, for the first time as a group. They also divided up tasks for the Analysis phase of their project, and were introduced to the EDIT 6200 consultants that will be working with them this semester. See also the meeting agenda.

The team seems to be progressing well on their project. There are clear lanes of communication, and everyone apears to be on the same page. Sarah, the project manager, did a good job of keeping the meeting on topic, and provided a detailed introduction to the project and the team's methodologies to their consultants. She also set firm project milestones and began the work of scheduling a long term project.

The Digital by Design team was also able to efficiently split up tasks and work together in parallel. It will be interesting to see if that continues for the duration of the project.

This meeting was interesting in that it provided an insight into the early seeds of a project, and allowed me to see a rough idea of what those seeds will grow into.
