Your portfolio looks very nice and professional. I like that you did it in Flash, which allows you to really control how people view it, unlike using HTML which can render differently depending on the browser. I've got a few comments below.

Strengths

  • I think the little pictures add a lot to the portfolio. Also, your color choices throughout the portfolio are excellent.
  • You made good use of space by having a lot of text replaced when rolling over buttons.
  • I like the Javascript function that causes your portfolio to open in a window in the middle of the page. It's a little touch, but it's a nice presentational aspect.
  • That's an excellent quote in the introduction.

Weaknesses

  • There's a few inconsistencies throughout the portfolio, such as slightly different behaviors when clicking class names on the Program of Study page. I would recommend going through the entire thing with an eye to detail.
  • It's good that you have directions for the user indicating that they should roll over links to see more information. However, it seems a little odd on the Themes and Program of Study pages to have the directions in the same font, color, and even larger size than the navigation links. I think it's more effective to do something like you did on the Purpose page, where the directions are smaller and differently colored.
  • When I mouse over your project descriptions in the Themes section, I get a cursor that seems to indicate a link. However, upon clicking, nothing happens. I'm not sure if you intended it to and it's not working, or if you hadn't intended it to, but I think it would be a good idea to have links to those projects open in new windows when they are clicked.

This project is looking good. Nicely done.
