I love this site! What a great idea to make a recipe site. I can't believe that this was all hand-coded, wow!
Strengths
- Great color scheme and the logo is excellent! It makes me hungry just looking at it.
- All of the links worked and took me where I needed to go. Registration worked fine and reviewing recipes, too.
- The validation for the submitting a recipe is a nice touch. I hate recipes that don't tell you about how long it should take or how many people it will serve.
- The search is very helpful to getting to a recipe fast.
Weaknesses
- The basic search appears to only search recipe titles. I think it would be more helpful to search through everything. If the user gets too much information, than they can go to the advanced search.
- I tried to enter 1 1/2 cups of an ingredient and it disappeared when I saved the recipe.
- I could use a few more words in the drop down for ingredients units: small, medium, large, slice and package.
- Also, a printer-friendly version of the recipes would be great for printing and saving.
- Maybe eventually, pictures could be added to each recipe. I love when I can see what it's suppose to look like (unless, of course, mine turns out nothing like it!).
